NEWARK - The Longaberger Company has engaged Billy Casper Golf (BCG) to manage The Longaberger Golf Club and its award-winning, 18-hole championship golf course.

Under the multi-year agreement that begins November 1, Longaberger will continue to own the golf club in Licking County, Ohio, near Nashport. BCG will direct all aspects of golf course and property maintenance, staffing and training, clubhouse operations (food and beverage, merchandising, etc.), golf instruction, marketing and public relations, special events and financial management. The 18 full-time employees of the golf club will have the opportunity to become BCG employees. 

The Knicker National Argyle Champions Tour, which honors the late Payne Stewart, will be hosting an event at the Deer Ridge Golf Club in Bellville, Ohio on October 4th. The cost of participating in the event is just $70.

The event will be hosted by the Central Ohio chapter of the KnickNac Tour, located in Columbus, and will give golfers a "free pass" to check out the organization. 

The 2008 World Golf Championships - Bridgestone Invitational is coming to Akron's Firestone Country Club with tournament play beginning July 28. More than 100 golf enthusiasts, including participants in Toledo's Project Gain, took part in a PGA Play Golf America Day, May 31, at Maumee Sports Mall in Toledo, Ohio. The PGA TOUR is back in Ohio for its yearly stop hosted by the game’s greatest champion, Jack Nicklaus.

The 33rd addition of the Memorial begins Thursday morning at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin and once again features a fantastic field. Seven of the Top 10 players in the Official World Golf Rankings will compete in the event.
