Hootie and the Blowfish to headline Merril Lynch Gala Dinner and Show

Toledo, OH - The Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic Presented by Kroger announced today that Hootie & The Blowfish will be the headline entertainment for this year’s Merrill Lynch Gala Dinner and Show scheduled for Tuesday, July 8th at the SeaGate Convention Centre. 

“In keeping with the tradition of bringing top musical talent to the gala dinner we’re extremely excited to have Hootie & The Blowfish headline this year’s event,” stated Steve Mickus, 2008 General Chairman.

Hootie & the Blowfish have sold over 25 million records worldwide after their infectious melodies hit the airwaves in 1994 with hits “Hold My Hand, “Let Her Cry” and Only Wanna Be With You.”  The Album Cracked Rear View earned them Billboard’s Band of the Year Award in 1996.   

Tickets for the Merrill Lynch Gala Dinner and Show can be purchased by calling the Tournament Office at 419-531-3277.  Tickets are $225 per person or $2,250 for a table of ten.
